May 2012 was Wendy's and my 10th wedding anniversary. For the 10 years of our marriage, and two years before, Wendy had been telling me that she REALLY WANTS TO GO TO ITALY, so finally, we went.

Updated on May 6, 2013, this is now four years of visiting the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm each March/April.
In mid- to late March we travelled to Lisbon, Portugal for a conference, then stopped over for a couple of days in Amsterdam on the way home, giving us a chance to visit the Keukenhof garden. It was very early in the season, after a long and odd winter, so the garden was not at its peak. This was a difficult trip to balance photographic desires against the reality of attending conferences, minding the small one and dragging stuff all over Europe.
